I've got so much in life

by Trixie Asirvatham

This poem/song was inspired by my mother's simple philosophy of "Count your blessings".
There are so many things to be grateful for in life, things that you take for granted.
Whenever things are getting you down, look around and give thanks for what you have.
This will automatically release a powerful wave of positive energy within you, for whatever you have comes from God, and you were meant to be a creative, loving, energy-filled person in His own image.
You can change your life by changing your thoughts!

Any time when you feel that life's not quite so bright
Take a moment for yourself, and put it right
Just look around and count your blessings, one by one
Feel the shadows fade away in the warmth of God's sun.
Spoken: Start counting!

Chorus:
I've got my home and family
I've got love all around me
I've got friends and fellowship
I've got talent at my fingertips
I've got the joy of living
I've got the fun of sharing
I've got so much more in life,
Every moment counts.

Don't forget to give thanks for the good things that you've got,
for the good things that you've got, others they have not---
Keep your mind in focus on the love of God for you
And things will fall in place when you don't know what to do.
Spoken: Think about it!

Chorus:
I've got my home and family
I've got love all around me
I've got friends and fellowship
I've got talent at my fingertips
I've got the joy of living
I've got the fun of sharing
I've got so much more in life,
Every moment counts.
